ADOPT PANTHER

Panther’s world flipped upside down a couple of months ago when his lifelong companion was taken away in an ambulance? He was alone in their Manhattan apartment, fed under the door by concerned neighbors while he waited for a week, but sadly, his companion never returned. Instead, relatives finally arrived and brought him to a crowded city shelter where he struggled to adjust. He began to fall into depression, and it was clear he had never been around other dogs. He was soon considered for euthanasia ? Luckily, the shelter contacted us and we brought him home to the rescue. While here he’s come down to a healthier weight, losing 15+ lbs. He has also improved mobility through play, exercise, and a couple of morning supplements every day. His back knees still slow him down, caused by his prior weight and lack of exercise, but they’ve also improved a bit. I believe with a healthy lifestyle he’ll continue on the right path. He’s become tolerant of the other dogs, but he would much prefer a quiet home with just him and his new companion(s). He loves his toys! He especially likes to play “goalie” with somebody kicking his Kongs to him. His toys are the first thing he looks for when I bring him outside for his walks. He’s the kind of companion that just wants to be near you, maybe following from room to room and keeping you in eyesight while lounging nearby. Back scratchies are his favorite, but he seems to have just found out about belly scratches and kinda digs those too! Overall, he’s a good boy. He’s easygoing, looking for a calm, quiet home, and most importantly another companion to enjoy each day with. If you have the perfect home please reach out to us❤️
